As a relative newbie to the world of club racing, and more particularly, Spec Miata racing, I am as thrilled as a geriatric 66 year old could ever be. No more grandpa driving for this ole chicken. ONLY If I could only get Mazda to sponsor me in my quest and mission to imulate my late hero, Paul Newman, could I be higher than I am now! Who says old dogs can't learn new tricks? Certainly Not ME; I'm getting faster at every race. How about you?
Thanks Jim

Add me to the Newman fan club.... Smart man who did it right. Didn't use his money to buy a car that was over his skill level but got a good coach and modest cars and lots of track time to hone his skills. Then put himself in quality machines and had fun... Great racer and humanitarian IMO....

Newman definitely set the standard for how competitive one could be at an advancing age. Just completed my first year of racing, and having just turned 63, I can only hope to
satisfy my addiction for several more years. But, oh how I wish I would have done this earlier...oh wait, I didn't have the time nor the extra money!
