Does anyone know if AIM's GPS05 and SmartyCam GPS modules are the same?
Thanks.

I don't believe so. The gps only device has the receiver in it. The gps for the smartycam is in the camera and not the antenna.

Correct, they are different. The SmartyCam GPS Antenna is just an external antenna. The GPS05 is a complete standalone GPS sensor. There is much more hardware in the GPS05.

Also, the 712 binder connector on the SmartyCam GPS has only 4 pins, and the GPS05 has a 712 binder 5 pin connector.
