I needed to place an order this morning and I noticed that SafeRacer has a new web interface, which looks nice. When I tried to enter the SM discount code it wouldn't accept it. I thought it just hadn't gotten programmed into the new web store so I called to verify and was told that they are no longer offering the 10% discount.... bummer.

Ouch... I was proudly wearing their stickers on my car... Uhmmm... Will there be enough demand here to have them put it back?

I have bought some things over the last few years from them, I have only remembered to use the discount code once ...

That must be a new change because I used the SM discount on an order that I placed on 2/5/13 and received yesterday. It might have been one of the last.

 

I sure would also like to see them bring it back. nothing about this Hobby is cheap.

 

I use Dave also but i do not think  he carries everything that SR does.

 

What Next? Drago charging a fee for that advise he is dispensing from that lemonade stand.

I must admit the 10% discount offer leaving is a deal breaker for me.  They helped get me into this sport but I've made some brilliant friends in that time and they often beat Saferacer's prices.  I sure wouldn't be on track without Dave@AA, though.

Honestly, that is partly why I posted this. I have meet Charlie, he is a super nice guy, and I was surprised I was being told the discount was no longer valid.

Boy, you guys are quick and I should have more fully anticipated the speed and reaction to our new platform changes, i.e. old discount codes going bye, bye. Reworking this plug-in on our new system was on the punch list, but got moved over to my personal list by mid-morning.

 

So, SafeRacer is happy to announce our NEW SM 10% discount code -SMKMBIXO

 

As has been the case for a few years now, due to our competitors complaining to the manufacturers about us cutting you guys a break, we've been forced to exclude a handful of manufacturers from this discount - Alpine Stars, Arai, GForce, GoPro, Hans, Oakley , Simpson, Sparco, SP Inductions, Stable Imaging and Traqmate. It was either that or they were going to cut us off. 

 

A handful of you placed orders without the code today, and we appreciate your support, but we are contacting the ones who asked this morning, and are giving you the discount retroactively. No need to cancel the order and then re-place.

 

We do sincerely appreciate our SM group, even if I'm playing in touring and B-Spec a bit more now!

Doesn't Sparco still do 15% for mazdaspeed members but you have to call in right?
