Ok who's in for the weekend?

 

Looks like we might have and early race on sunday so home early for a change.  Schedule is still getting worked on.

 

I am trying like hell to get time off at work to make it but I just don't know.  Going to be very unhappy if I miss this one.

I'm in...can't wait.  Three cylinder motor created last Nov has been replaced with the correct four cylinder configuration.

I can cut anything (I have a machine to do that) and I can price it very very competitively.

I'll have a quickly applied new vinyl decoration .
I did some gigantic "zoom-zoom" 10ft long. You will not recognize my car!

For the 19 starters, are you thinking Toyo bucks or is there something else to this magic number?

Alrighty-

 

Head count is 20 in theory.  Take out a few regular no show and we have 15-16 as of last friday.  This did not include a few lolly gaggers that ALWAYS WAIT TO THE LAST MINUTE TO SIGN UP 

 

So if you add those guys we should be about 19-20 I hope.  I will not throw those guys under the bus...yet.  

 

19 is where the Toyo bucks get deeper in the field so call your friends and get them out here with us.

 

I will also be there.  Now I just have to find time to work on the car.....yeah right

Many thanks to those that turned out this weekend!!   I had a great time and hope you guys did too.  

 

For those that may have missed the driver's meeting on sunday AFTER Qualifying a few important thing were said.

 

1.   As a group we are doing a good job of seeing and reacting appropriately to flags.  With that said, the incident at T10 in qual on sunday created a bit of havoc.  4 BMWs passed the incident at T10 then proceeded to try to set a fast lap.  As they did a full course double yellow came out.  The 4 BMWs stayed at qual pace and again entered T10.  The lead car spun as he avoided the emergency crew and truck and ended up backwards down towards T11.  The other 3 did not spin but failed to slow appropriately to the waving yellow.  This is why the red flag was brought out.  The driver of the damaged car was OK from the reports I heard.  The Driver that spun has been banned from NASA for the rest of the year.  The other three drivers have been given a three race suspension each.

 

2.   At the meeting they said that you should turn in your Contact to your Series Director (Me) or tech if the SD can not be located.  This appears to be a change and is fine with me but I will confirm before the next event.

 

Also as a side note, I will be working towards a better plan for Tech at our events.  If you have ideas or concerns please let me know via PM or email.  My intent IS NOT to turn this thread into a tech discussion.

+1. I put a Hartzel trans in last year when my original started to grind. Works great. Good price (which I can't recall right now).

Had a great time racing NASA with you guys. Met a few new cool people. It was nice to meet & race with Mark Drennan, Andrew Kidd in PTE, and others.

+1 about Hartzel trans work. I ran his all last year plus the 25 Hour, and its still like new. I also have experience with how well Barry stands by his work in the rare case where things don't go as planned.

Sorry to hear that,, BTW GREAT save in 6.. Dude you put sideways twice!!! I'll see if I have it on my video!!!
