Registration is now open for the Whole Lotta Miata Restricted Regional/National presented by Continental Motors, May 18-19, 2013 at Autobahn Country Club.

What is it? In addition to a full single national, we are having a Spec Miata only restricted regional, which will be sort of a challenge race between Autobahn members and SCCA members (ABCC members who are also SCCA members have to pick which flag they are flying).

On Saturday, there will be a short qualifying, and a 16 lap/30 minute race for Autobahn members (part of their series), and likewise a qualifying and 16 lap/30 minute race for SCCA members.  At the end of the day Saturday, there will be a 45 minute timed race, between SCCA and ABCC members. Grid is set by finishing order of the preliminary races. The overall pole sitter will be the fastest qualifier between the two winners, then the rest of the grid alternates.

So... who is up for the challenge? What is more important, home court advantage or the wider experiences? We'll find out next month!!

Registration is available at http://cendiv.motorsportreg.com - the direct link to the event is http://msreg.us/2013ABJNATLRR

Thanks,

Kevin

This should be a fun event.  If you enter the National and the Regional you get 3 races over the 2 day weekend.  The challenge race should be a blast with some good camaraderie and competition between the Autobahn club racers and the SCCA racers. Many of the club member racers are tough on their home field.   That and the Regional only racers get 2 races and the Regional entry fee is only $225.  For any of you that have never raced on the Autobahn South circuit or haven't in a while, it's really a fun track with a some technical segments that always features some very close racing in our class.  I'm sure the Autobahn club members will have strength in both talent and numbers.  Let's bring the same from the SCCA side.  I'm bringing 2 cars and a spare driver.

Just to clarify - the Restricted Regional portion is open to ABJ competitors with Level 1 or 2 licenses, and SCCA competitors with novice permits, regional, or national licenses.

Just to clarify-

The National, group 4, is open to National license holders only

The Regional, group M1, is open to SCCA members with Novice, Regional, National or other GCR accepted license (MC, Nasa etc)

The Regional, Group M2, is open to Autobahn members only.

The Challenge race is open to all drivers listed above.

Am I correct????

Will there be any meaningfull tech after ALL the races?

Kevin/Joe, I will be at BFR this weekend.
