Here is my in car video of the full race where I move up from 16th on the grid to get the race win. (also posted in the VIR update thread)

Got lucky this time. Made fewer mistakes than most

Video is uploaded in HiDef - watch in HD - let it buffer and watch full screen

That should be required viewing at the comp schools.  The patience showed throughout the video should be preached to the new guys.  Pounce when the guy in front makes the mistake, if he runs clean you stay tucked and help.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting HOLY SHIT........WHAT A RIDE!!!!!!!!

Beautiful.  Really a nice clean drive.  Interesting that you do a 3-4-3 shift through the roller coaster.  Is that a rhythm thing, or does it really make a difference?

Glenn

It really worked on Saturday in Race 1 and in the qually sessions it was the ticket, but for whatever reason it seemed that we could roll through there in 4th better on Sunday in Race 2 and carry more speed. The change back to 3rd defintily makes the rear end squat more and you get more drive though the right hander. When you run 4th there is a tendency to carry too much speed and you end up being late committing to WOT

Still shocked how much the Hoosiers and new curbing made the track "easy"....and baffled as to why T1 and Oak Tree were faster in 2nd with more grip when 3rd was the norm before.

Nice run Danny - that was what inspired me to give it a go from 36th...it was a fun run but patience was not in high supply or demand from that far back in the field. And the 01...yeah...a bit of an overdog!

Full disclosure: SMAC chairman, my opinions do not reflect anything to do with the SMAC unless specifically stated.

Well, if the emoticons on my iPad worked, you my friend would be getting major standing O's! Lots of observations here...

Great talent and speed in the top 10-15 here!

I'm sure I've watched every video you've ever posted Danny. I can't ever remember you having that many cars in front of you but I think it changed your mind set and forced you out of what I would consider some occasional bad habits that allowed you to have a good car toward the end. Being the 5th,6th,7th guy in line nose to tail forced you into earlier brakeing(no late hard brake)which allowed earlier to the throttle and some great runs in the draft. Great job of nice smooth inputs and patiently waiting for side by sides in front of you. Each time you anticipated the next corner and choose the correct car to follow. You're use of the draft(ahem, bump!)was text book. Sometimes to benefit you and the car ahead, sometimes to seemingly benefit you both but you the most at the last second!

Bottom line is you kept the car under control and didn't over drive it...it's almost like you new you were going to get there at the end and were as patient as a cat over a gopher hole. I hope AC isn't still mad at you and is giving you the credit you deserve!

AC...great drive...almost! Don't be a stranger...

Ron, AC and I are good friends. He is one of the guys I really love to race. Like all the guys in the SEDiv, they race you hard, but never dirty.

Well I'm glad you guys have kissed and made up :) you certainly were the target of his frustration for awhile! Since he has boycotted the site I would imagined he has a new target. I'm sure Rob is happy also...haha
