This Friday before the NASA Great Lakes opener at MidOhio, I had an issue with my car that took me all day to figure out.  The amount of help that was rendered during my search for the culprit (missing timing plate tooth) was amazing! I need to thank the following people who really helped out!

 

Jim Drago (phone consultation)

Mike Novak (I still owe you plugs) and his Mechanic Chuck

Chris Price, parts and moral support

Ron Williams whose question finally solved the problem

Ralph Provitz constant technical suggestions to eliminate possiblities

Frank Todaro for parts support

 

and the BIGGEST thanks of all goes to Kyle Webb for letting me use the timing plate off of his car!  Saved my weekend! Very generous to let me take his functional car to a push into the trailer roller, truly above and beyond just loaning you a spare part! 

 

Goes to show you that after all of the grousing on the board, our group of racers is not only tight on the track, but in the paddock as well!

Chris, it was my pleasure to help you out!  As I told you "You are now in the East St. Band" I would have helped regardless, but it gives me greater pleasure helping another East Streeter...

 

Whether or not we all always see eye to eye is inconsequential, when a fellow racer needs help I beleive we all chip in to help, it just so happened that I was heading home after the Enduro and woulnt need my car running till the Major at MIS, so I could afford to give you parts off a perfectly running car.

 

Glad your weekend was saved and you had fun!  See you at MIS!
