I use a Jayco Octane (tag trailer). We had to have a cabinet modified for the car to fit, but with the 3/4 ton truck it handles like a dream and allows us everything we want in a hauler/RV.
And we have slept 11 in it in the past.

I recently bought a Vintage brand Toy hauler 26' with a 13' car area, fridge, AC, bed, shower, toilet and stove... Searched Craigslist for a couple months waiting for one at the right price... Drove 4 hours to get it. Have not used it yet but plan to at the end of the month.
Most that I found had 12' or less for garge area and our cars are nearly 13' in length...

I looked at toy haulers 4 years or so ago. There were plenty of cash strapped types during the crash trying to unload them. I ended up with an 18' deck Carson open trailer.
Are you guys that use a toy hauler finding they have enough weight capacity? The ones I saw were from 5k to 7k capacity.
How is the ramp incline for loading the car? Do you have to raise the front or drive the rear tires of the tow vehicle on blocks to be able to get the car on and off?

I made special ramps in order to load it (14ft long). The door is too short and the hinge sits too high causing the angle to be way too steep for loading anything I need too (tool box is even tough to roll up it by myself). I spent quite a bit of time looking into the weight capacity. I am probably at the high end of the capacity of the Jayco (11k of a 12k limit), but with the right truck pulling it I feel safe with the rig.
The garage on the Jayco was 11'6" to the left front (15' after that 12" inches against the wall), so we moved the microwave from the bottom cabinet to the upper above the stove and removed that lower in order to sneak 1/2 the LF headlight under it other than that there is plenty of room for the big roller tool box between the car and the sink. In the end we didn't want the microwave at eye level for our daughter anyway as she is likely to love to push buttons and turn on the microwave when there is nothing in it.
I will not argue that with the Jayco there is plenty of storage, but the wife wants most of that for "clean" stuff and I don't have a lot of room for the car stuff since there are no belly boxes available. Just means I had to be creative, but I can fit it all in and now that I know how loading and unloading take about as long as when we had the car hauler. I have since found newer ones (2013 models) that will work better from a storage perspective, but we are at least a few years away from upgrading.
