Hey Guys and Gals,

  Just checking in to see who is planning on running this weekend. I am not sure that I am going to be able to make it considering I am staring at a bare engine block on a stand and not a lot of time between now and then to get everything done. So, who is just waiting to sign up?

I signed up today for the weekend.  I am just running the Majors myself.

 

It should be interesting to run in the SM group with the Mazda 2.

Was a great weekend with tremendous weather all three days.  Thanks to everyone who is a PR local for making my first WA race experience a great one.  Super friendly people and great drivers made the competition pretty intense.

We are just north of Sacramento on our way home from the event. It was and is a looooong haul from San Diego! We really enjoyed the people in the nor west scca! Made some new friends and liked the track and the racing. We hope to do it again in the future.

Joey, how long a tow is it? I know you won on Saturday by two tenths second. How did you do on Sunday?

This is dad Joe. He finished a lucky 2nd after a qualifying excursion that destroyed the left frontcontrol arm. Got it together 10 minutes before the race. Ran a bit off the leaders. Linse and brocman came together with 3 to go and Joey finished 2nd. Linse car rolled and He looked a bit stiff after the race.

Jim. It is about a 22 hour tow! 1200 miles each way!

Very distressed to hear of Robert Linse rolling his car going up toward turn 5 on Saturday. Speculation over on his FB page as to how it happened. I suspected side by side and contact going up through 4...Robert says he has video and will post. Car is pretty banged up but says it will be ready for Rose Cup.

Video was posted showing the incident happened between 5A and B. car spun in front of Robert. Contact sent Robert up and over on the embankment.

Rob...agreed we are animals....Joey had his last FINAL of his freshman year of college on Thursday we left Fallbrook at 9pm.  Drove to Vancouver picked up Derrick Ambrose B-spec car.  Had problem with Toterhome...finally got to track at 3:30 SAT morning....  Raced 4 races in 2 days, repaired crash damage to get car ready to race 10mins before Green flag for Sunday Spec miata race.  Ran STL packed up drove to Vancouvwer, stopped to fix toterhome tire issues.  Drove to Buttonwillow, dropped off trailer.  Home finally after epic journey!

 

Worth it would do it again tomorrow....

This is Joey's Dad.  Really appreciate your help on the track, it was very classy of you to give some help to a young driver.  On our loooong drive home he mentioned how much he liked racing with you clean and fair, no crazy divebombs, no feints or tricks, just hard nosed hard driving and giving each other room.  

 

We were glad you won on Sumday (if Joey could'nt) and appreciated all the hospitality

 

I don't think we will be back this year, but hope we get to see you again in the future.
