The way that super touring rules  work ...

 

You could always run the chassis say 1994 miata with say a 1999 miata engine. In that car. You can run a 1999 manifold ( came with engine) or a 1994 manifold as it came with chasis.

 

The issue with above letter is the Integra type R engine has been excluded from STL, however the chasis has not.  So if you had a Type r integra, you could still run, but not with the typr r engine, just the GSR engine.   The issue is the Type R manifold makes substantially more HP than the GSR manifold and was not something that was missed when we classed the the cars.
