Many of you who raced in the Midwest Division "back in the day" knew Bill Kucera. Sadly, Bill lost his battle with kidney cancer this past weekend.

I had some Kucera's in my family way back, blood relatives on my mom's side. I always fancied we might be somehow related. Sad to see him go, he was fun to talk to.

Thanks for posting this Jarrod, I'm surprised I hadn't seen it earlier considering how much time I spend reading posts on the forums.

For those of you that don't know I'm Bill's son in law. Before he passed he signed his car over to me so I could have my dream of driving a race car. I have resurrected it from a 4-5 year hiatus of sitting in his shop and it's running good. I had it out at the Iowa Speedway for a PDX event in August and it was a blast. I'll look to do the drivers school in 2014 and then hit the track. So next year if you see a red #14(assuming number is available) Miata going round the mid western tracks that's me.
