yup i am in the market for an AC unit for the trailer. been trying to figure out what is the difference between the ducted and non ducted design and what i should get. Looking at the Coleman Mach 3 13,500 unit with heat strip. would go bigger but i am limited by generator size.

I can get ducted or no ducted.

Do I duck or not?

Contact Mitch at Bravo trailers (advertiser) to confirm, but I think you want non-ducted.

Non-ducted just blow the air out the bottom part of the unit. While the ducted style are what you would use in a motorhome with multiple ducts in the ceiling.

Frank---Non ducted----as you have no ducts or ducks in your trailer as far as I know. The ducted style is for motorhomes that have duct work in the ceiling. Our friend the caveman is a quack though...

Coleman Mach 3 is what I have. As an A/C unit to generate COLD it works great but the heat strip is pretty much worth what the $50 cost suggests - it is like a vague warm breath and you'll be wanting to buy a separate cheapo plug-in heater for those balmy Spring Mid-O mornings

thanks Chris I can take the cold better than the heat. with the weather this week, it prompts my attention to get this done.

Novak Not sure how we got started on kyle the Quack but it works for me. So then next time we paddock next to each other I am going to put my generator under your bedroom window so we can have "generator wars".

Coleman also makes a heat pump unit.

I have one on my trailer, it gets down right toasty until the outside temp hits 32.

IIRC, it wasn't much more than the regular unit.

I believe the draw between 13k and 15k isn't very different either.
