Well, that was every bit of a great drive
The protest was understandable and I think the reason there was no penalty was also understandable...well done NASA!
For all you grass roots guys out there, Kyle is a great example of what still can be done on a tight budget and a lot of skill. A garage built car. no data, no cool suit, no radio man, no crew, drives himself to and from events, right after he gets off of one of his 2 jobs!

And the hit in turn 21 was not intentional, just a mental error while i was communicating with Sean.

You can almost read your mind watching the vid. "Dammit, didn't mean to do that. Want to let him back by to set things right, but don't want to get freight trained in doing so." Nice drive Kyle.

Here is one of the starts that was bitched about.....He may have gone from 11th to 6th except for the mis shift and sutherland and Agha running wide in turn 1. It's painful to watch the rest as our misfire rears it's ugly head and he can't accelerate with anyone......

Joe,
I was having a similar misfire issue, and after talking to Jim Drago, I replaced the ECM and Main cut-off switch and the problem went away. Hope that helps.
btw: That was one hell of a start.

Thanks Bill,
We switched ECU, Alternator, Kill Switch....turned out to be a wire that is in the plug that goes to the throttle position sensor.(thanks Chris Halderman) it was pulling away from the connenctor. Racing with wiring harness older then the driver always keeps it interesting.

Hmmm......this is another good argument for racing SM5. The oldest one is 7 years.

TV link was cool, but the ultimate question is, how come so many what appears to be 1.6 cars up front vs SCCA?

My opinion it's the track. Miller suits the 1.6 's if they get out front of the later model cars it can get away enough in key spots that the torque doesn't matter.
Another key factor is the west has a bunch of well prepped, well driven 1.6's

Watched your video. Who was the car at the start that it looked like you were going to follow until the contact? Was this the same car you stayed with at the end and what happened to cover your windshield?
