I just bought a 1999 miata in excellent condition without a torsen diff i beleive. (I know, I know.) but as excited as i was over the past few years to dip my toes into spec miata after renting, i am going to resist the urge and keep the car as is and enjoy it and the condition it is in. i have already received many compliments and it has barely been a week. i will however take it to track days. luckiliy i will be receiving a set of 15 inch kosei wheels for this use from a relative. My question is (this may be the wrong place and if it is I apologise, and i did use the search function) does anyone have any recommendation for a tire and size to put on the rims that are suitable for the track but can be driven on the street to the track, kind of a dual/use tire. the idea is just to put these tires on for the day and take them off after the track day.  my first thoughts were for a 205/55 or a 195/60. any and all recommendations greatly appreciated. thank you

Assuming a 15x7 wheel, 205/50/15.

As for brand and model tire that can be driven on the street, there are plenty.  Toyo RA1, Dunlop ZII, Bridgestone RE11, Hankook RS3 etc.
