sorry if this is a rookie question, but I thought id ask.

long story short, just picked up my Donor, but found a 2005 wreck with 30k on it, (that I can get for practically nothing - $1000).  Is there any reason why I cant use the 1.8L from this 2005 in my 99 ?

I will most likely have the 99 motor Built, but for the time being I could use the newer lower mileage engine to get the car going to start with to save a few $.

any thing special about doing this?

Can't do it, 01+ is a VVT engine.

If you have room...buy it just for parts! The motor alone is worth what you will pay for it...and then you'll have a whole bunch of great stuff!
