i took the interior out and put it back in.

I don't seem to have any dash board at all anymore.  No tach signal or any guages.

If I jump the data unit to the test port under the hood I have a tach signal.

I just recently bought the car and can't be 100% sure what worked.  I am 95% sure the stock tach did work.  But now nothing.  And definitely no signal at the dash.

Any idea what to check.

Check all dashboard grounds.  There's a dashboard ground on the right side near the passenger's feet which can cause something similar if it's not connected.

Check the ground under the brake master cylinder too.  I don't remember if that was my tach issue but I did find a bad ground there affecting the dash.  You might double check all the connectors under the dash too.  There are some under there that are easy to miss.

Also check for the 2 connectors by the blower motor, I always miss one of them and it kills the dash.

Yeah, maybe that's actually what I was thinking of.  Too long ago.

The internet is just great.  Those blower connections are definitely not plugged in.  I will check for grounds too tomorrow.  Thank you for the help, I will let you know if they fix the problem.

There are no guages still, but after I plugged in the blower plugs the tach signal came back at the dash.  So this should be OK.  I dont know what used to work or not with the dash.
