12V Lead in the engine bay of 99?

OK, admittedly a bit embarrassed by asking but...  :unsure:

 

in the NAs there was 12V hot lead in a blue case by the diagnostics port.  Very handy for using a timing light.  Is there such an "open" hot lead in a 99.  I am not 100% confident of the wiring in the car to know otherwise i would just hunt with a volt meter.

I typically just clamp onto the alternator post with my timing light.

Diagnostic box has 12v as well. But like Dan said I too just grab the alternator post
