Anyone have a good adhesive for patching up the cracks on my front bumper cover? Not sure what this plastic is but I know some plastics are more of a PITA to bond than others. The area where the tabs underneath bolt it to other bits seems to have suffered some damage somehow. Figure I might as well fix it while I'm in the area.

I had a bumper that had huge cracks completly though, even a hole. I rvited a piece of thick plastic to the inside of the bumper. Riviting both side of the crack, then just used a Flexible poly filler to cover up the rivets and fill the hole. Looked mint and held up to bump drafting no problem.

3M makes a kit specifically for repairing bumper covers. Uses a two-part adhesive/filler and a mesh for support. Most professional autobody supply companies should carry it. Probably more effort than a racecar warrants.

I have used several things, including vinyl tape at the track.... if I was repairing a street car I would do it differently, but I just use bondo, most of the time if I have hit hard enough to crack or puncture, the cover is gonna need to be replaced soon anyway.
Phew...... that was a close one!
