The Jersey Racing Board announces that they will sponsor two pre season test opportunities at New Jersey Motorsports Park. These tests will be ideal for teams who made significant changes to their cars over the winter and for drivers who want to shake the cobwebs out before the racing season begins. Both events are now open on DLB

The first test session is planned in conjunction with the March Lion Drivers School. It will be on the NJMP Lightning Course on 22-23 March. All cars will have the option of testing on Saturday, Sunday or both days. The testing will be held concurrently with the Drivers School and Advanced Driving Clinic.

The second test session is supporting The Devil in the Dark 12 Hour endurance race. It will be on the NJMP Thunderbolt Course on 25 April. Although the testing is primarily for endurance teams, drivers do not need to be 12 Hour participants to enter the Test Day. The testing is for closed wheel cars only; no open wheel testing is available. There will be a continuous four hour open track test session.

Both test are open to drivers with any SCCA license including signed-off Novice permits as well as all other competition licenses recognized by SCCA.

The SCCA test day at NJMP on 3/22-23 will require a logbook and an annual tech.  There will be scrutineers available for event tech and annual tech starting when the event opens on Friday evening.

Hope to see ya at NJMP

This is a reminder that the Jersey Racing Board has a four hour open-track test day available to all closed wheel cars on Friday, 25 April. This is the optional test session for The Devil in the Dark 12 hour Endurance race. However, the test day is NOT limited to 12 Hour entrants - any closed wheel car may be entered. The testing is on the Thunderbolt course.

See ya at the races
