I'm getting ready to put new decals on my car, but I'd like to wash it first (if it ever warms up enough to).

How do I wash a car with no windows? Should I just hose it down like any other car and avoid the windows? Only wash the lower half of the car and clean the roof some other way? Spray some kind of cleaner and wipe it with a rag?

You guys must do something, unless you just never wash your cars.

Just wash and avoid the window.  or come by and get some glass from me and make some brackets so you can put them in to wash or transport.

I actually have a passenger window on a bracket like that, but the small window was replaced with a NACA duct.

The drivers side is missing both windows in improve egress. I don't think there is an easy way to install and remove the small window, so I'm not sure there is a point in buying the glass and bracket.

I guess I'll just be careful on the drivers side, thanks.

I don't think I've ever washed my race car - I just blast it with spray furniture polish between races and scrub the dirt off with old towels. Works pretty good to take off the old rubber marks, and the car ends up shiny as a side benefit.

Not a lot of people I race with are overly fussy about paint and polish.

I usually have my son wash the car.  This method works quite well.

I've had some success with this, it's a waterless cleaning wax.

But I'm thinking of switching to fotostars method

Windex and 3-M general purpose adhesive remover for black marks.

If it get's really gritty I do the normal wash and just avoid windows and then use Windex on the hardtop.

I have an opinion so I must be right
