99 fuel pickup

Myself and a couple guys had fuel pickup at Sonoma in the Carousel (only there) this weekend.

 

All had 99's, new fuel pumps, Drago's FPR.

 

Most had to run 5+ gal more.

By Sunday I ran across the scales in qual at 2457 with so much gas to get it to stop. Only happen once.

Sunday's race I just filled it up.

 

What are we missing here...

Are you guys routing the the return line right back on top of the sock? The line that used to go to the old in tank regulator?

Spray the sock or make it exactly like it was stock or you will have the problems described.

It took me a minute too.

The return line need to shot at the sock.

Might as well just have a mini reservoir there if the pick up is dependent upon it.

99 tank/pump is Greek to me. The return line needs to shoot (be directed) at the sock. ???

Ahh,.. Well, OE is essentially straight down, or at least that's how mine was and how I set it up when installing the FPR. I haven't had it on the track yet, so I'll keep my fingers cross for no problems.
