Monterey debut of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship

TUDOR is America’s all-new premier sports car racing Series created by the merger of the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car and American Le Mans organizations, both of which had a long history of competing at Mazda Raceway. The TUDOR Championship features two styles of cars, Prototype and GT (Grand Touring). Each style of car has two classes, Pro and Pro-Am, meaning there are four classes of racing on track together, each with their own battle for the lead.

Four other very competitive Series will also be competing, the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Mazda MX-5 Cup, IMSA GT3 Challenge by Yokohama and making its first-ever appearance, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo.

Feature Race: Sunday, May 4, 2014

Support Races: Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Mazda MX-5 Cup and IMSA GT3 Challenge by Yokohama.

More Info: Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

Don't beat me up, I tried to find an answer in the rulebook--- what's the difference between the MX5 class and SB MX?

Lots of Texans on that list.

Thank you Forrest.  I assume the cars are the same just that the  SB cars are provided by Skip Barber?

No Matt, there are different.  I can't recall the details, other than I would just say the skip barber cars are "more" stock.  I want to say they run the factory suspension.

They also only are allowed one set of tires per weekend. Im not sure on any other diffrences. I know the cars skip barber uses for their schools have a special muffler on their exhausts but im not sure if the cars they bring use the muffler.
