OK,
Going nuts here, and I figured the guys that have built/repaired more cars than I can help.
The last weekend I ran, I started to get a vibration/noise, but we have been unable to figure out where it is coming from. I understand that diagnosing these things over the computer/phone, and me making the best possible duplication of the noise with my musical abilities is almost impossible, but here it goes.
- When I turn LEFT, I am feeling a vibration that appears to coincide with rotation. I.E., the faster I am going, the faster the rythym is
- I THOUGHT it was the right front wheel bearing, but when we checked, all seems normal.
- I THOUGHT it could be a tire, but the rythym does not coincide with the wheel rotating (The wheel rotates far faster than the vibration)
- When I turn right, I do not feel any of it
- The amount of travel (compression in this case) does not effect the vibration (So I ruled out tire rub?)
- The ONLY thing we have not checked or replaced at this point are the half shafts in the rear. I have a spare set.
Can anyone make sense of this? Or does it sound (no pun intended) familiar. I apolgies for the "Paul Hutt" sounding question, but it's driving me absolutely nuts.
This Memorial Day, thank those who served and their families.
