I seem to remember a bunch of folks having issues with pinhole leaks in the radiators a year or so ago. How have they been lately?

I'm looking for something that'll work in my ITA miata in the hottest summer days (95F+). Are there any other radiators I should consider?

Thanks!

I have been using them for 4-5 years, never had any of the pin hole leaks.  The SD raddiator on the 99 also has a newer version where it uses original top mounts. i believe that has helped as well. Ask for version two when ordering from Saferacer.

Thanks...Mine's a 90 tub with 95 drivetrain, so i'd be looking for the 90-97 model. Any thoughts on that one?

I run the 53 mm Koyo.  Installed the thing in about 20 min or less.  dropped right in.

Installed the SD radiator yesterday. Had to bend a couple of tabs away to get the radiator to angle forward properly, but it fit in nicely. Took great care to make sure the radiator is isolated from the car body--hopefully I won't have any leaking issues.

Had problems with the version 1 rads but have had none with the version two rads. Cools better than any other rad we have tried.

I'm glad you asked this question as I'm looking at getting a new radiator.  Last weekend my gauge hit 213F.  That's in free air and measured it at the top radiator hose to make matters worse.  Granted the heat index was 111 that day, but this is a routine summer in Texas.

Looks like some SM businesses sell products to prevent corrosion (Magnesium anodes and caps).  Do the guys with the SD radiators run these?  Are these required?

How can you tell which version it is?

Besides one will have a pin hole leak after a while. :)

Dragging this up, because my version two radiator sprung a pin-hole leak last weekend.  It's in an upper corner on the front of the radiator.  It's not from rubbing or fitment.  This is my second Springfield Dyno with a leak.  Not sure if I'll roll the dice for a third time.  Might give the Advanced Autosports Radiator a try.

I've had great luck buying ( at least 5 of them for different cars) the cheap ($130 including shipping) eBay duel core, 54mm radiators
