During Saturdays race D. Bender in his MX5 and I in my RX8 were swapping the T4 class lead until two MX5 Cup cars running STU intervened slowing me, and drafting/pushing Bender to his fastest laps.  I was disappointed with this apparent teamwork especially with cars from a different class.  For Sunday I installed a camera and the below video shows some pretty lame driving by F. Landy trying to help Bender at the start.  I’m posting this hoping those involved realize that is not how races should be run, and don’t pull such antics again.

Clark, I am just wondering what makes you think Forrest is doing anythign for the benifit of Bender?  Is it because Bender races SM as well?

 

Think you are barking up wrong tree here but wouldnt be first time I was ever wrong...

 

If I had a playboy car and wanted to help my buddy win t4 I would get behind him and push him not try to slow some other guy down which in turn slows me down and costs test and tune time that I am there for.  You do realize the playboy cars were there to practice for the future right???  

 

And you do realize that before you got into Forrest nearly tuning him jsut hosed yourself with having to slow as he goes off in the grass allowing the #10 to run right by you correct????  Which would also mean therefore you threw away p1 all the while calling Forrest names, so who is the d bag now?

 

Next time maybe you should use your blue flashing lights and everyone will get out of your way since yours is the only race that really counts anyway!

 

Notice the Yellow 93 also passes you after your infinite wisdom to use the chrome horn, and well he is actually pushing Bender so maybe Greg is some kind of bag as well?

I just thought I should mention that the driver of the red car is Michael Cooper, and that niether of those moves on the front straight were blocks, and that he in no way was conspiring to either hinder you or help Bender. Thanks for joining Mazdaracers.

Bender said he had nothing to do with it but that it was too bad traffic messed with our race.  I don't know why the Cup cars would do that since I didn't speak to them, but the on track moves and pointby are confusing.  I agree pushing would be the most help and that is what appeared to happen on Saturday; I'm not saying that is why Bender won though.  Yes I realize they were practicing, that is also why I didn't expect them to mess with other races.  I pushed the red car after he slowed excessively for that corner, hoping he would start accelerating.  I modulated the gas to allow him to correct as opposed to spin him; the other cars already had a run based on our slow corner so getting passed was inevitable.  Maybe there's an explanation, but it seems unlikely he needed that much brake to make the corner, those cars were much faster than that all weekend.  I agree d-bag is a strong word and should be removed.

 

I went by the results sheet to get driver name so I apologize if that is wrong, my mistake.

Cooper is a very good drivery guess is he switched cars to help sort the red one. I know all of those guys and none of them would purposfly mess up your race. Its easy to think or even say that. I have had several stl races wrecked my a t4 driver that parks it every to just drive away on the straights so it goes both ways. I have also received good pushed from a t4 driver that helped both myself and him as well since he chose to go with me and nowhere to go but to help me make the pass before he could make a pass of his own. If I was on the inside if the 280z in t1 and t3 I would have checked up also as I never seen that guy before and I don't just go into a mixed class corner trusting people with large swings in talent.
