I did the spring removal as described here. The car turns over fine, the steering wheel lock is disabled and the key comes out ok. Won't fire. I must have nicked something though it seemed quick and easy. I won't be able to get back to it today, but where should I check for power?

Should have nothing to do with starting the car. Did you just drill a hole in the bottom on the mechanism and let the spring fall out?

That's all.

edit: Found the unrelated problem, CAS out of adjustment.
Thanks Mike.
