My opinion:
White looks nicer when clean, but gets dingy after a year or so. Machinery gray is not as pretty, but holds up better. Black makes the car too dark
I use rust-o-leum paint. What ever brand you use, make sure the brush on and spray on are the same brand. Start with a brush, while the paint is still tacky, over coat with the spray. Do small areas at a time. Start in the middle of the car and work outward. Paint dries real fast in the sunshine, this can be a positive or a negative depending upon how fast you work. It takes a LOT longer than you would think to do a nice job.
By the way, this is also in my book.
