Been thinking, and hope this will drum up some conversations.

Pro MX5 cup, I love watching these races, enjoy the class structure and seems to be great with its sealed powertrain .

Class has a decent entry size, with good drivers and tight pack group up at the pointy end most weekends. What do most feel the health of the class is, will it continue to grow and prosper or will it being to fizzle out?

What does it hold in the future with the new model coming out???

It's definitely something that's been talked about by everyone running the series. It's been very strong this year, but I don't know how a lot of the teams will cope with having to build all new cars.

Don't drive like my brother

Thanks for Chiming in Sebastian. I think the current car is great, but it seems unfortunate that it will probably age out of factory supported Pro Racing as they will want to show case their new flagship car. It seems there will be the need to build a new car regardless of the scenario, if its a new MX5 or if you are converting to a new Pro Class. With that being said, it probably puts the brakes on new people from coming to the class with owning/driving as the unknown future of the class.

The rationale of SM5 was to allow a place for the retired MX-5 Cup cars to fit into club racing.
