Everyone should be in on this so you can get some practice in before the Western NASA Nationals! Hopefully NASA will forgo any late fee up until a week before so all the locals can sign up penelty free. With the SCCA Runoffs at Laguna this year...a lot of people who would be all over this race normally have other things to worry about at the moment!

Is that the same as Indy car configuration? Chicane at T9, shortened T11?

They're asking what track config.

Maybe hairpin at 7?  We usually go far left, then far right.

Or short cut in 11 ?

On another note... Did everyone see the FB post about construction Friday from 10p to 5a ??

Thank you for your input. :)

And somewhere in that link was a track config, or just showing us the pretty cars ??  :)

I'm currently not interested in running that series. :)

Ok after rereading the my email I need to correct my last post.

We will be running the Championship Track configuration for the weekend.  Meaning the the regular track configuration for Sonoma (T5, T6, Standard T7, no chicane, Standard T11).

My apologies for the confusion.

FYI, from NasaNorCal FB

See below for closure.

Also November Championships also count for NorCal points. So get signed up.

see you there.

J~

Closure of Highway 37: Please note the Highway 37 between Sonoma Raceway and Vallejo will be closed in both directions starting Friday night 10pm and will remain closed until Monday morning 5 am.

Detour Routes:

• Westbound Highway 37 detour starts at the Highway 29 Interchange — motorists should use northbound Highway 29, to southbound State Route 121, and re-enter Highway 37 at the State Route-121/Highway 37 Interchange.

• Eastbound Highway 37 detour starts at Highway 37/State Route 121. Eastbound Highway 37 motorists should use northbound State Route 121, then southbound Highway 29, and re-enter eastbound Highway 37.

There is a map attached to this e-mail that shows the detour routes. This closure does NOT affect people coming from Marin or West of the race track.

Thanks everyone for a great weekend. I was thrilled to get my first front row qualifying on Saturday, first podium finish on Sunday, and be able to drive her home after everything.

Here's my qualifying from Saturday done on 20 heat cycle tires. Use it as evidence that the RR's have a long and competitive lifespan! The track felt very inconsistent to me that day, and it was hard to put down a clean lap yet somehow this one ended up being quick.

Here is the Sunday race. Long video so here are some fun moments outside the first lap:

-09:16 commence battle with Craig

-11:20 attack Craig

-12:00 attack Craig

-13:20 pressure on

-14:34 lap traffic, pressure on

-15:14 attack Craig

-15:41 sensing lap traffic

-15:43 hoping Craig will get squirrely

-15:45 Craig gets squirrely

-15:47 Pass Craig for 2nd place

-17:19 search for 3rd gear

-17:22 find 3rd gear

-19:30 Craig goes rallying (see rear cam)

-25:55 commence celebration

Also got to do some diagnostics on my issue with straight line speed, car dyno'd 115whp at TFB which is reasonable. I believe the issue is with my shifts, as can be seen by the Saturday race start. I am considering getting a new transmission for next year, along with ACT 4puck clutch and pressure plate. Any advice on this is appreciated!

You've been knocking on the door, just one more spot.

The 1.6 isn't dead yet on the west coast. :optimist:
