Curious as to what the SM5 car count has been across the country this year.  I'm in the Great Lakes region and did not see/notice any SM5 cars at the events I attended.

Thanks Jim, I appreciate the information.  Was that readily available via the SCCA website?

T4 has 123 for the year. But, I would have to check each set of results to see what make/model. SM has 2460.

Advanced Autosports has been running Danny Bender in T4 this year. Winning several Majors events including the June Sprints and winning the Northern Conference Majors Championship.

Danny will be driving the Bravo Trailers, Autobahn Mazda, B.F. Goodrich MX5 at the SCCA Runoffs at Mazda Raceway in October.

Advanced Autosports has purchased a 2006 MX5 for conversion. Our plans are a little different in that we are installing a 2.5 liter version of the 2.0 engine. We expect 190+ RWHP and a lot of fun. If everything goes right, we hope to debut the car at the ARRC in November.

Last week I picked up my 25th Anniversary Edition of the 2015 MX5. Serial # 648 of 1000 made for the world, only 100 for USA. Really is a nice driving car.

That is a fun setup - ran the 2.5 at the 13hrs and the 25hrs a few years ago. It was fast enough to beat up on the E36's.

Full disclosure: SMAC chairman, my opinions do not reflect anything to do with the SMAC unless specifically stated.
