Possible rain for this event. Does anyone have a set of RA1's I can rent? Would much prefer to run a set of those over my R888's...

Assuming I get my license figured out in time (Dave is on the case), I'll be out to play.

I had to cancel this past weekend. There was too much going on...

Can someone summarize the race on Sunday? Looking at the provisional results, either the T&S computer went down or something bad happened?

Craig did that last year, flying over turn 1. Weird rule too that everyone keeps their position from the last lap, so even if you are the red flag, you still get points.

Really? In this case the double yellow came out then the red lag after most of the field had crossed start/finish.

Short summary...

2 laps in double yellow comes out for E30 in turn 9 tires track right.

Cresci, Drennan, Gallaher, Cooper, Evans was order at restart.

Cresci and Drennan go side by side through 1,2,3 and 3a...Gallaher right behind. Cooper asleep at start and about 5 cars back with Evans.

Over 3a Drennan has inside line and gets ahead of Cresci with Gallaher right on his tail. He goes deep into 4 mid track with Gallaher smoking the brake zone and Cresci trying to hold his position side by side with Gallaher. Drennan drops wheels with a small bump help(maybe 4?) at the exit. Drennan comes back on track which by this time Cresci had overlap but was mirror to mirror with Gallaher on his right and no where to go. He became the sandwich car. He and Drennan have contact(front left and right rear)which causes right front and left rear contact with Gallaher. Drennan and Gallaher basically rotate around the front of  Cresci's car and into each other. They become one and head off track left just before turn 5...in the grass sliding downhill they find the unprotected K wall with Gallaher going in nose first with Drennan's car behind him doubleing the mass. Maybe 40-50mph head on? Broke the K wall! Gallaher had the wind knocked out of him and was helped out of the car by Drennan before the saftey crew arrived.

Cresci was damaged and slowed, Cooper had lifted to avoid getting involved and Evans was able to get a clean run to take the lead. Race ended :( I'm sure both Drennan and Gallaher are very sore. I think NASA called it a racing incident with discussion of unsafe reentry by Drennan and Cresci for unsafe pass attempt...but no penalties. Please correct me if this isnt correct and apologies in advance if anything here is not accurate(It was my car and drivers video from directly behind). Not a good day for anyone involved...thank god no serious injuries.

Why is it that all K walls are not tire lined????

Doubtful...I believe all parties involved have spoken. It would serve no purpose to put what happened to a public debate...changes nothing. 3 guys racing hard in the heat of the battle. The slightest change in any car involved and the outcome totally changes or never happens. There were no protests. NASA took it upon themselves to review and find fault I believe...but in the end did call it a racing incident.
