A driver cut me off into a sharp turn yesterday, denting my left front fender (only). But since then, the engine revs to 3,800 rpms, although the throttle cable and linkage all work as new. I can't find a vacuum leak or loose vacuum line, so what can be causing this? Thanks. :o

Check your Intake piping and make sure nothing came loose. If its and AFM car, make sure your connector is still seated properly.

I got hit in my right fender last year, and busted off my connector at the alternator, which led to 3 crappy laps in the next qualifier until we found it. Perhaps something electrical related?

We learned today that the AFM internals were jarred loose, causing the clock spring to be re-set on a weaker setting. I unhooked it and have sent it to Ed Gilfus Racing in Bastrop, TX for repair. If anyone can fix it, Ed can. Thanks, everyone, for your replies.
