I am scheduled to tow my newly built SSM to Summit Point this coming weekend for a little testing prior to comp school the week after (yeah!!!). I rented the UHaul car trailer (all wheels off ground, of course). Can anyone recommend what kind of tie downs I should purchase and where I should fasten them on the Miata? The UHaul does not come with tie down straps.

Throw some 2 x 8 boards down and it should clear, if it is the same type of trailer I used once.

Been using uhaul for couple years. Extend the ramps with my own wood ramps made from two steps of 2x10. Curious how you guys tie down on them. I have wheel straps and cross them and attach to the d rings on the trailer. Rear works well, but I'm not thrilled by the front cause they practically go straight across.
