After reading about all the cheating that was going on modifying regulators in the tank and fuel filters, What is next?

I guess to some people its more important to win than the compete on an even playing field. If that is what they want why don't they go to an unlimited class?

Same reason all the gray area stuff gets done. Some see it as a challenge to do whatever wont get caught, and the rest do it for parity. This is racing, the egos are too big for the honor system. :)

Out of curiosity, what performance gains (eg, wheel horsepower & torque) can one expect by adjusting fuel pressure down to 54 psi or so?

I got something like 2 horses out of my 95 and I might have lost some torque around 4K.

I don't know about 95's, but just wanted to point out that
5X in the classifieds says set to factory 32-38 and tune from there with there unit.
