My '90 tank baffle has broken the spot welds along the bottom of the tank, but the one on the rear is still solid. The baffle moved over and trapped the fuel sender float, holding it at the bottom of the tank.

I've heard 2 suggestions so far:
1) Try to work the baffle to break the spot weld holding it to the rear baffle.
2) Use an epoxy (like http://www.amazon.co.../…/B000ALG8RS ) to hold the baffle in place along the tank floor.

Here are a couple of pictures:

I had the same problem with my '90.  Fuel gauge was giving crazy readings, ran out of gas during a race when gauge said over half full.  Discovered the real problem when I replaced the fuel pump and gauge sending unit only to find a loose baffle, hust took the baffle out and have not had a problem since.

Happened on my 1.6, as well, I broke it free and it never gave me trouble, no fuel starvation, etc.
