I have often talke to Hart about bringing a racket and hitting with him at some point but it is always so busy at a race.  maybe we can arange that for the ARRC?

Ordering parts to repair the right rear suspension right now.  By how far out the alignment is, I have to assume that almost everything is bent.  I don't have good measuring tools for this so better to replace the whole corner.  I did a hillbilly alignment on Saturday evening just to be able to finish the weekend.  A bit of metal to metal creaking noises in every corner on Sunday, from the upper arm and hub carrier binding.  Not sure how the rear suspension on my car got bent since the other driver thought that I turned into him on late corner exit with my front wheel to his rear?  Puzzling?  At least we talked and worked things out to run clean with each other on Sunday.

 

Sunday racing was really, really clean in my area of the field (around 15th).  One of the most fun races that I have had with that many people running really solid lines and showing a bit of give and take all around.  I think each of us made one or two amateur mistakes as I saw a couple missed shifts, a bit of over stepping the line by small amounts and drivers checking up just enough to give some recovery space.  Can't wait to come back to Mid-Ohio to run with that group again in October.

Kieth when drivers have mutual respect for each outer and there is that give and take by all the racing is the best it can be. The result it high fiving each outer after the race and friendships made. Trading places back one fourth without contact and racing hard wile still maintaining the attitude of sharing the track is very special and rewarding exepericie. A lot of times the finishing position is secondary to the fun being had.

It's the few who don't have the "sharing the track" attitude that make for a expensive horrible weekend. It seems very difficult to get those few to change their mindset.

I only witnessed very clean racing all weekend, I was unaware of any bumper cars this weekend. I only saw the glimpse of a car getting hooked on the start on Saturday. I think I may have been within a few millimeters of every side of Ralph's car, around multiple corners, on multiple laps  . It was an awesome weekend, track is a lot of fun with plenty of passing opportunities. And my engine didn't blow up, woooooo!
