Silly idea? Some of the production classes more or less evolved to the same thing at one point.

Crap, Drago wanted a handicap when he was 41, and he continues to win with no handicap. How about adding a handicap for each year over 50. 23 years worth of handicap please.
Dave, I think some around here would say you are plenty handicapped already!

Spec Miata Senior Circuit - Old guys (50+) in old (1.6) cars. How many 50+ drivers are out there? How many are in a 1.6? How many more would get in if they had a sub-class, even an unofficial one?
Silly idea? Some of the production classes more or less evolved to the same thing at one point.
The thing that I LOVE about motorsports is that it is the one sport where age is NOT a handicap. I LOVE the fact that 57 year old farts like myself can compete heads-up in the same class with young teenage whippersnappers and still have a real chance of succeeding. What we now lack in muscle skills and reactions, we more than makeup in terms of strategy and experience, as well as resources. And it is such a great motivator to get us up early in the morning, get in our excercise, eat healthy and stay young, well as long as we can. So I am NOT in favor of any age restricted racing classes. Love that racers like Scott Pruett, Mark Martin and others are still kicking ass.

Will there be a designated nap time after lunch?
Right about when the green flag drops, like always.

Short answer, silly idea. Drive another class if you aren't up to pace in SM anymore.
