How to remove alternator pulley

So my spare alternator has been dropped and the pulley lip is bent such that a belt won't stay on it. Ordered up a new one from MSM. What's the best way to get it off? Obviously, it wants to turn with the nut and I don't want to damage the bearings. Can I hold it with my cloved hand and hit it with an impact?

DOH, Oh ya, NASA don't require like some other clubs.

It's your spare, how about checking the one your using.
Call an autoparts store.

Otherwise, if no one comes up with it I may check when I get home.

I use a small puller. TQ specs at 43-72 ft/lbs on a 1.6NA...

Don't know if specs on the overdogs are the same. ;)

PM me with your email I will send you the PDF. Its a big file So hopefully your provider will allow big files. If your going to do your own work as you seam to be doing you really need to have it. Also MSpeed has some supplemental manuals for motor and transmission worth having. Get them and you will be set.

Hold the pulley with one hand, blast the nut off with an impact. Pulley then slides off

LOL. When the FSM specs like that I just give it the "till it's tight enough".
