I searched a bit on the old specmiata.com website and on here, on how to properly disable the steering lock.
It seems as though most people just drill into the little flat plate underneath the key cylinder area. But, from the looks of it lots of people have had issues with not being able to turn off the car or the key getting stuck. I also saw some people removing the little plate completely (how is that done) then gutting the insides? And then I also read about wrapping some thin aluminum around the steering column to stop the lock from engaging, (not exactly sure how to do this method either)
So in short, which is the best and safest method to do this that will cause me the least headache.
