Watching the news this morning and the power of nature unleashed on Japan is very scary. I know Blake Clements is over there and many others from the Mazda Community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them for their safety and hope all are safe.

I am in Texas currently and am not hearing any bad news out of Singapore. I just visited Japan for the first time one month ago. Very sad situation.

This terrible tragedy could have a tiny little ripple for us: The RA-1 is made in Japan and several of Toyo's plants are in the areas hardest hit.

If someone has a RA-1 close and can read the DOT code, we can determine exactly which plant is used.

According to "Modern Tire Dealer" Toyo has resumed limited production in the Sendai Japan Plant.
Reports that we received from Toyo stated there was limited damage to the production plants in the area but they didn't have electricity.

They were closed for 12 days. With all that went on over there getting at least limited quantities out is pretty good. Like Joe says they didn't yet have electricity but now it seems they have limited electricity. The other rubs are getting raw materials into the plant from the ports and getting workers to and from the plant. The trains are pretty toast and they're big time into the trains over there.
