Apparently for me, the answer is about 150 feet off into the grass at WOT......
Really fun weekend of racing at VIR Thanks guys!
At least you were doing it in typical Bandit fashion. If Ti-Speed Racing Mowers in looking to expand on their business, might me time to market/sell VIR a Ti-Speed Lawn roller...looked pretty rough in the pasture.

My 99 Spec Miata makes great torque under 5,500 RPM!!!
The real question is did you trip the timing loop way the hell out there.
(I know, the finish should be called visually and not based on timing...)
Alignment should be fine...
Bump stop wedgie?
Full disclosure: SMAC chairman, my opinions do not reflect anything to do with the SMAC unless specifically stated.

I remember that a lot of those black and gold fire chickens had air shocks which would come in handy off-road.
East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.
Keep your foot hard on the pedal. Son, never mind them brakes.
Let it all hang out 'cause we got a run to make.
The boys are thirsty in Atlanta and there's beer in Texarcana.
And we'll bring it back no matter what it takes.

Ol' Smokey's got them ears on and he's hot on your trail.
He aint gonna rest 'til you're in jail.
So you got to dodge 'im and you got to duck 'im,
you got to keep that diesel truckin'.
Just put that hammer down and give it hell.

My arms hurt just watching that workout. You must be doing a lot of shake weight exercises.
His arm rate was just trying to keep up with his heart rate.

Dan - would love to see the photo of the front grill packed solid with grass. Fortunately it was the last lap and you you only had 400 yards to go. If you had one more lap you would have cooked that engine

220°F on the cool down lap as I putzed around in 5th gear. The funniest thing was the pile of grass on the ground in tech that fell off my lap when I got out of the car

In the spring at TWS, I did a little lawn mowing. When I got back to the paddock my grill looked much the same, only it was all filled with wildflowers. My wife laughed and said how nice it was that I brought her back flowers from the track.

6.11.3. Off-Course Excursions Drivers are required to follow the pavement or marked course, and may not gain an advantage from an off-course excursion. Unless the Supplemental Regulations specify otherwise, a driver who leaves an artificially marked course or an airport circuit with all four wheels must reenter the course at the same location where he went off, subject to the directions of officials controlling reentry.
How hard did you try to come back onto the track where you left it????
