In the last fastrack it was announced that the OEM ECUs are now open to any flash you want.  This should be good fun as we can get another 5-6 hp out of the Mazda 2 engine and clear 100 on the dyno.  This should make the Mazda 2 even more competitive in WC.

Fun, unless the competition picks up 7+. Is this a tacit admission that it's already being done and too difficult to police? Will they be quick to adjust weights if it obviously helps some more than others?

The other ECUs were being done but there was no policing of them and no way to check it.  Only Mazda had made an official one.  We should see a decent boost compared to the other cars.
