SA2015 helmets?

Starting preparation for next season and realized that SA2015 helmets are around and my helmet is a SA2005.  When are the SA2015s required?  Or stated differently, when is the SA2005 no longer usable?

GCR says 2 Crash helmets approved by the Snell Foundation with Snell sticker 2005 or later Special Application SA2005 (SA2005 will no longer be accepted as of 1/1/2017
