This was last summers “project” I thought some of you might get a kick out of.  It’s a 91 Miata, I purchased as a nice daily driver 2 years ago, then raced SSC through MCSCC for half a season, then things just got out of hand.

 

Looking forward to ice racing it this winter yet, and possibly another autox to help pass the time until the race season starts up.

How much does it weigh?  Little hard to get rear traction?

1680 with me in it.  Weight distribution feels like 80/20, with slicks and lsd it will spin through 2nd gear.  It makes it fun and slidey, however not very quick around tight autocross corners.

My son was wanting to do a similar project with one of the NA corpses we have laying around, except he wants to off road it.
