I've typically used grey RTV to install the oil pan and baffle but every time I pull one apart I wish there were a better way to seal them so they will come back apart more easily without bending the baffle. Maybe I just need to use an even smaller bead, with new parts it shouldn't take much, but has anyone come up with a better solution?

When I'm removing, I just zip a putty knife through between the baffle and the pan prior to pulling the pan off.  That doesn't work for yours?

I just went through this same thing... Grey RTV and slide putty knife through gap next to pan.  No way around this that I have found... Can use urethane "right stuff" glue but I would imagine this would be harder to remove on the next build?

I often can't get the blade to slide all the way around without at least some prying. Maybe just too much RTV, I would hate even more to have a leak. I used a pretty small bead on the two I built last year and fortunately have not had to tough them, so maybe I got those right and just don't know it yet. I'll just do the same with these and hope for the best unless there are other suggestions.

I have found its a toss up, I would choose no leak vs ease of removal. I also use the putty knife method but sometimes that doesn't cut it.
