We almost have the final piece of our 2016 schedule. This year we again are keeping  with the one a month from June to October.

Fidelity Power Systems Pro IT Series 2016 Schedule

1.) 4-5 June - NJMP Lightning (with MARRS and NEDiv DCS)
2.) 9-10 July - Watkins Glen (with NARRC and NEDiv DCS)
3.) 13-14 August - NJMP Thunderbolt (with NARRC)(double points)
4.) 10-11 September - Palmer (first visit)
5.) October - TBD

It is doubtful that our series will reach beyond the Northeast Division.  The bulk of our competitors are in the Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania area and they have shown little interest in traveling outside the division.

 

Our series was modeled after the successful series of the same name which was centered around Road Atlanta.  I believe that series has merged / morphed into the Carolina Cup Pro Series (CCPS) - a little bit closer to Florida.

The Pro IT Summer Tour
 

The Fidelity Power Systems Pro IT Series is returning for its ninth season in the Northeast Division. The popular series for Improved Touring, Spec Miata and now Super Touring Light cars will visit four different courses during the 2016 season.

The series will open the season with the Lightning Challenge regional as Round 1 on the challenging Lightning Circuit at NJMP with the Northeast Divisional Racing Series (NEDiv DCS) and MARRS. Look for this to be one of the most competitive events of the season with the contingent from MARRS adding to the Pro IT ranks.

Round 2 will be the July Sprints regional on the historic Watkins Glen International long course with NEDiv DCS and NARRC. This will be Pro IT's first race on the newly repaved circuit - we're talking smooth racing and lap records here.

The series returns to the Summer Thunder regional on NJMP Thunderbolt for Round 3 with NARRC. This popular mid-summer event will be the year's double point race.

The 2016 finale and Round 4 will be a new venue for the series on the new 2.3 mile long course at Palmer Motorsports Park. The series is returning to its New England roots and looks to see many old friends from the area.

Expect 2016 to be a great season for the best series in road racing.

Round 2 - Jul 9-10 - Watkins Glen - repaved long course *
Round 2 - Aug 13-14 - NJMP - Thunderbolt (double points)
Round 4 - Sep 10-11 - Palmer - first time for Pro IT
