Is there a useful life on window nets?  I have never seen this discussed, but it would seem that there is a point that you would want to replace them.  I noticed that mine has a SFI tag that is dated.  Any thoughts on the topic?

NASA used to have a date requirement. Not sure if they still do. SCCA only requires that the nets have the SFI tag, but no date rquirement

In SCCA, the net should be part of the annual inspection and should not be torn or worn.

anybody know where to get one of those fine mesh SFI rated nets? the big cross hatch net I have limits my visibility horribly. Plus red would look cool.

There are a couple types of mesh nets.  I had one which consisted of 2 layers of mesh for improved strength presumably.  The holes in each layer didn't really line up so it made it very difficult to see through.  The ones with a single layer of mesh provide much better visibility.  I don't remember who sells which ones.
