If remembered correctly, not a bunch of room between the bar and subframe for a split collar, I used a thick plastic type flat washer with a small hose clamp outside the washer. Nothing has ever loosened. Easy to re-lube.

best option is just buy the new rear bar IMO.. I have used the collars as well, they work fine but they were a PITA. As posted above.. there isnt enough room, so you need to grind the collars good bit to get them to fit.

On my old pre-SM suspension I cut 2 inch wide strips of heater hose to the proper length to wrap around the bar and clamped them in place with hose clamps. Worked well and did not move.

That's better than mine. I use hose clamps, good ones I can clam tight. Seem to work fine though I've heard that some people had problems with them cutting into the side of the bushings. The housing around the screw part is what hits the bushing on mine, and no problem. But I like the hose idea better. Speaking of which, I use a hose and clamp around the rear subframe brace where the exhaust passes over it to eliminate a big rattle.

When I use hose clamps, I generally use ABA clamps. They clamp well and don't cut into hoses. I used to order them online, until I discovered a boating supply shop locally that stocks them.
