 Final practice at Mid-Ohio before the run-offs, was not able to break into the 42's but was able to go my fastest in lap 8. 

Hopefully in the run-off practice session I can break into the 42's

40's, ok, what's the skinny on tires? From my reading heat cycled out Toyo's were the best. Heat cycle/ harden up some SM7's and have at it.

I see 40s in the future. A bit cooler and its very doable. Then again it might be over the 2 minute mark with the odds of liquid sunshine. None the less should be one heck of a race.

As a spectator, looking forward to the Runoffs. Can't be doing any smack picking on the Runoffs thread until qualifying starts. Hopefully a couple or so 1.6 show up with their stuff.

40's, ok, what's the skinny on tires? From my reading heat cycled out Toyo's were the best. Heat cycle/ harden up some SM7's and have at it.

I was running on a set that had about 30-32 heat cycles on them (no good). Borrowed a set from AJ that he said had about 25-30 heat cycles on them (way better).

My guess would be around 20 heat cycles max at Mid-O IMHO !

Doc, you been using your selective reading capabilities when reading Mid Ohio posts.  The place loves Toyo RA1's with a gazzillion heat cycles.

Unfortunately I am a 100% serious. I'm probably the lowest budget race team you will ever see !

And I have not had a chance to do the heat wrap around the intake yet or the exhaust weld has not been done either.

I have been starting off the weekend with 4 heat cycle tires, so far my fastest session has been on 8-9 heat cycles. However I am not sure if that is just the result of feeling more comfortable with the car set up, both races I have tried totally different set up.
