I now tow my SM on an open trailer with a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5.3 V8.  Anyone have recommendations on a good brake pad for this truck?

Thanks.

What are you thinking...braking ability is more a function of tire grip!! Order up a set of those Toyo's they run on those crazy ass super trucks and just be ready for that trailer to jack knife you into the center medium because you didn't realize its brakes dont even work! :)

Pretty much any pad should be fine so long as you don't do hills where you have to hit the brakes lots.  I bet even a low dust ceramic would be fine.

Just don't forget to stick it in first when leaving Laguna.

When i first started towing my enclosed trailer i had a ford F-150 it was a little under powered and the brakes were tested. I put the HAWK Lt Truck brakes on it and it was a noticeable improvement. there were not that expensive either.

I use Hawk LTS on my old Tundra and they work well. Performance Friction would also be a good option.
